Here’s a clip of Jonathan Rhys Myers and Freddie Highmore from the movie August Rush. It is the first time the two met in the movie. If you have seen it, you know the significance of this scene. ;)

House M.D.

I know I have been missing out on my House dosage ever since the new episodes aired few weeks ago. I have been preoccupied with the GG mania. I will be making up on the missed episodes soon enough.

I know for sure though that the final two episodes will be great, as it usually is. Apparently, House got himself involved in some major vehicle collision. Amidst his own injuries and head trauma, he need to diagnose the fatal symptoms of another accident victim.

I miss the entire cast. I am also very amused with the tension between House, Wilson and Amber. I know it could only get better. Definitely a unique triangle. ;)

David Archuleta, Jason Castro, David Cook and Syesha Mercado

Now we are down to the Top 3.

Now it doesn’t matter to me who will be sent home as long as it is NOT any of the 2 Davids. Just a few comments on the Final Four:

  • David Archuleta pulled a strong performance with his songs “Stand By Me” & “Love Me Tender”. He is the obvious Idol favorite so we shall see him through the finals. **crossing my fingers for the win**
  • David Cook was back to his rock vibe with his rendition of “Hungry Like the Wolf”. Then his softer “Baba O’Riley” (I remember this song as the CSI Theme). But his position for the win is a bit shaky.
  • Syesha Mercado sang the Tina Turner song “Proud Mary” then the song “A Change Is Gonna Come”. It will take a miracle to bring her to the Final Two.
  • Jason Castro sang “I Shot The Sheriff” and then it was his turn to forget his lyrics with the Bob Dylan song “Mr Tambourine Man”. Hmm..his mistake was very obviouse. Tsk tsk…

Who was voted off?!

None other poor forgetful Jason Castro. I was hoping he’d do better than Top 4. I will miss those dreadlocks. Also, he sang some of my favorite songs this season. He had a nice run while it lasted.

Jason Castro sent home.

The Final Three.

Preggers Angelina Jolie

I know I haven’t posted anything Brangelina lately. So just want to make up for the lack of news by posting this latest tabloid cover of the heavily preggers Angelina Jolie.

Reports are surfacing that the twins that Ange is carrying are both girls!

But then again other news source are claiming that it will be a boy and a girl.

For me, as long as the babies are healthy and Ange will deliver them both safely, i’m ok. I’m so happy for this power couple. Wish them more health and happiness! :)

It just keeps getting better! :)

Here are a couple of clips for the next episode.

Blair enlists the help of former best friends, Nate and Chuck, to aid her in bringing Serena out of the downward spiral she caught herself in. Dan is majorly pissed with Serena who can’t admit the truth to him thinking the worst of his girlfriend. Georgina, as Sarah, is out to get Dan away from Serena’s grasp.

Check out the clip below.

Meanwhile, here are some stills from the next exciting episode. Some nice wedding photos are included. And there are a handful of cute Blair and Chuck photos tossed in. ;)

Gossip Girl Cast

Eversince it started airing new episodes after the WGA strike ended, each episode just keeps getting better. I love it! That’s why can’t get enough of it.

I have just watched the latest episode of Gossip Girl. Its the best so far!

For those who are interested, a brief episode summary to share…

SPOILER ALERT! If you are not yet ready to know what went on this episode then go no further.

Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you… Here goes…

The social supremacy between Blair and Annoying Jenny is relentless. Each try to outwit the other. More cattiness and scheming are abound on this episode. Their claws are out full force. Georgina doesn’t want to be left behind so she is up to a few tricks on her own — getting the clueless duo, Lonely Boy and Vanessa in on it. Eric attempts to warn Jenny about her new boyfriend, Asher, but the Annoying One being so full of herself assumes that Eric has a crush on her. Swears with conviction that her heart belongs to Asher. (Fool!)

Rufus asked for Lily’s opinion on how to handle his conniving daughter, whom he caught lying about her big party. During this seemingly innocent meeting, the two had an awkward moment when Rufus caught sight of Lily trying on her wedding dress. Their conversation also seems so full of meaning if you listen closely. You’d know that there is still something there, you just can feel the tension in the air. It’s not over.

Next Big Bro Dan tried to talk some sense into Jenny after he bore witness to Asher cheating on Jenny with someone else– a guy. Asher got so defensive that he got into Dan’s face. But the Annoying one is insistent in sticking to her golden ticket even dissing her brother in the process. (you will regret that!) Out of options, Dan solicits the help of BFFs Blair and Serena, but doesn’t get much.

Then Gossip Girl reported on the sighting between Asher and another guy which got everyone buzzing. Annoying Jenny is pissed and called bluff on Blair (but of course it isn’t her). (Time to get even, B?) B confronts Dan and got the the real deal from him. You’d know Blair will grab any opportunity she gets and once the idea forms on her head, she will pounce on it. Blair’s spins the story for Dan’s sake and I <3 her quip about TomKat. LOL! But Dan doesn’t buy it. But you’d know Blair’s wheels are turning – proof needed asap.

Jenny is pissed and she is out to prove Gossip Girl wrong. But boyfriend Asher doesn’t want to make out and set her straight on the status of their relationship. Bottomline - he dissed Jenny’s background and told her to stick to the script. To soothe Annoying’s worries, He concocted a lie that will get them both off the hook. By this time, any sane girl would be alarmed but Annoying is oblivious to all this since her social glory is almost within her grasp. She is about to throw her first Upper East Side party and Asher set her sights to that.

Blair is out to look for proof and got her hands on Asher’s phone with help from her friends.

Meanwhile, Serena was sent another “gift” from Georgina. It’s a video but from the looks of Serena’s reaction its something BIG and BAD. Then she hid it and was on her way out when Lily arrived with Georgina in tow. Talk about awkward. Georgina was able to wheedle her way in joining the family dinner scheduled that night to Serena’s disappointment.

I said this will be short but I can’t help it. There is just so much to tell.

Rumors about Jenny losing her virginity spread. Of course, Dan confronted her about it. But Jenny has the sense to own up to the lie. On to the Van der Woodsen dinner, Serena dissed Blair since she is preoccuppied with Georgina wrecking havoc with her family. True to her instinct, G outed Eric in front of his family. It turns out it was G who saw Eric making out with Jenny’s boyfriend. Lily was shocked, while Serena showed him her support.

Rufus confronted Jenny on all her lies but he couldn’t stop her from leaving even after he said that she lost his trust and respect. Tsk tsk…stupid girl, now hold on tight your fall from grace is all set.

Blair crashes Jenny’s party with proof in her hands. Meanwhile, Serena is shocked to meet “Sarah” (better known as G) who will show Dan and Vanessa a “short film” to Serena’s panic. Ha! Georgina is out to grab Serena’s undivided attention which she got by the end of their conversation.

At the party, Blair confronts Asher and to which Eric backs her up. Eric admitted to everyone he is gay as well as the lying Asher. Jenny attempted to lie her way into covering it but Blair had the proof sent to Gossip Girl with Eric’s blessing. Soon enough everyone is in on the secret. While Jenny is booted out of the circle for her lies.

Lily apologized to Eric for her reaction. Admits that she is scared for him but still wants him to be happy and ask him to give her time to take it in. Overall, a sweet moment between the mother and son tandem.

Jenny rushes to Blair’s apartment to admit defeat once and for all. Blair concedes that Jenny put up a good fight. But Jenny doesnt want any of it anymore since the price she had to pay was too high — i.e. her dad’s trust and respect. Just realized that now, Lil J.

Serena warned Dan about “Sarah” to which the latter thinks as the green-eyed monster showing itself. (Like brother, like sister) But S just can’t tell Dan what’s going on. As G and S are left alone, G expressed that she only wanted things to go back to the way it was before “that night”. (To that I say — Yeah right!)

Jenny rushed home with her tail between her legs and apologized to Rufus. In turn, Rufus forgave his daughter everything. Meanwhile, Serena rushed to Blair and broke down to tell her her secret. Well, a part of it — Serena’s secret is…. she killed somebody!

It’s a definite OMFG! They were not kidding.

Just want to share a fan made clip which features the Jonathan Rhys Myers song “Something Inside” from the August Rush soundtrack. It also shows stills from the movie. Enjoy! :)

Iron Man Poster

“Iron Man” was pure gold at the box office. The Marvel Comics adaptation, starring Robert Downey Jr. as the guy in the metal suit, hauled in $100.7 million during its opening weekend and $104.2 million since debuting Thursday night, the second-best premiere ever for a nonsequel, according to studio estimates Sunday.

The film also scored overseas with $96.7 million in 57 countries where it began opening Wednesday, putting its worldwide total at $201 million.

It’s no wonder the movie struck gold because it is just that fabulous (read my previous post). Iron Man is also Marvel Studios first foray into financing their own films. The movie is so successful  since it’s opening that Marvel is already planning a sequel set for a April 30, 2010 release. Talk about fast.

I’m so happy that there will be a sequel coming. The movie was just that good. I can’t wait to see Robert Downey Jr don that metal suit again. Wonder how they will spin the story? Just have to wait and see.

Marvel turns ‘Iron Man’ into Gold

‘Iron Man 2′ set for summer 2010

Iron Man

I just watched the movie IronMan…one word: WoW!

I have been waiting for this movie since February. And I was completely blown away. I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. It is as amazing as the trailers made it out to be. :D There was a lot of explosives, aerial dogfights, flying mishaps and more! You got to check it out. I have learned to be rather picky with the superhero movies I watch since there are those that are not worth bothering with (i.e. Superman with Brandon Routh, Incredible Hulk and others) while there are those that I absolutely loved with Iron Man being one on the top of my list.

Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark

A great reason why the movie is so entertaining for me is because Robert Downey Jr is cast as the playboy/billionaire and gadget whiz Tony Stark. He brought a great dose of personality to the role. Downey effectively portrayed the different facets of the character - morose, troubled, defiance - plus he was funny when he needed to be. I absolutely enjoyed the press conference at the end of the film. Must see. :)) I know that the movie wouldn’t be as engaging if the lead role was given to another actor.

Also, Most of the supporting cast was great. I actually like Terrence Howard character which acts as Stark’s antithesis, meanwhile Jeff Bridges was almost unrecognizable on this film by sporting a bald head and beard to portray the co-owner of Stark Industries. But I found Gwyneth Paltrow pretty but a little annoying as Stark’s assistant. Overall, the movie is worth the money and time spent.

If you want to see the trailer, you can check out an Iron Man preview on the Videos to Share widget on the right column of the screen. Just browse through the widget until you find it. ;)

But preferably, visit your nearest movie theatres and see the movie for yourself! ^^ When you watch the movie, wait until after the credits - there is supposedly something there. I will watch the movie again (just because I want to) and make a mental note to NOT leave until after the credits.
