I am an avid fan of this series. For some reason I find the acidic, vicodin-popping, cane-weilding Dr. Gregory House, portrayed by British actor Hugh Laurie, oddly charming. His interaction with his colleagues are anything but nice. There is the occasional witty banter among characters and scathing quips mostly from House towards his team which consists of Foreman, Chase and Cameron. Then there’s his oncologist best friend Dr. Wilson and his exasperated boss, Dr. Cuddy, who are equally treated to his brash manner.
In the 4th season, you find the good doctor forced by Cuddy to hire a new team since at the end of Season 3 his team deserted him. In a battle of wills with Cuddy, He created a Survivor-esque arena as a testing ground for 40 applicants at Cuddy’s annoyance. Imagine 40 applicants to fill in 3 positions. He thus created a very competitive atmosphere where he created the rules and everyone, including Cuddy and her deadline, be damned. I will not tell more about this new season just see for yourself. You will definitely be introduced to new and exciting characters.

If you are in the lookout for a good drama - watch House on TV, on-line or get the DVD for the first 3 seasons. Or you can follow the story thru various episodes guides found on-line as the episodes are broadcast in the States. Unfortunately, the last new episode for season 4 has aired. We will have to wait for the writer’s strike (clicky for more info) to end before new episodes can be broadcast.
I really loved the first 2 seasons especially the 2nd season when his ex-wife girlfriend found herself battling wills with House in Princeton-Plainsboro. While I haven’t watched the entire 3rd season. I’ve got the DVD on hold to watch at my leisure since it will help me cope while I wait for new episodes.

That was not his ex-wife. They only lived together for 5 years. Sela Ward played that part and I LOVED the arc. HATED the Tritter arc but am enjoying season 4. HOPE WE GET MORE EPS.
WE LOVE YOU, HUGH!!!

Grace - Thanks for clarifying that. Badly want my House back. Nothing much to look forward to at this time.
