Beautiful Days is a Korean drama that was broadcast in SBS on 2001. The main casts are Lee Byung Hun, Choi Ji Woo, Ryu Shi Won, Lee Jung Hyun and Shin Min Ah. The first two names may seem familiar to you if you have been visiting this blog for quite some time.
This drama series holds a special place in my heart since it has introduced me to the world of k-drama (korean dramas). This drama is short compared to western standards since it only consists of 24 episodes (each an hour long). But those 24 hours has the right elements of family secrets, betrayal angst, joy, pain, ambition and love.
When I first this drama a few years ago I just got hooked. This remains to be my favorite korean drama to date. Part of the beauty of this series is the relationship of the lead stars Lee Byung Hun (Minchul) and Choi Ji Woo (Yeonsoo) with each other and also with their respective siblings Ryu Shi Won (Sunjae), and Shin Min Ah (Minja) for Minchul, while Lee Jung Hyun (Saena) as Yeonsoo’s sworn sister.
