I’ve known about this project since last week. I also just found out that this new MBC series will start this weekend in South Korea. Before the news gets stale, I will share what I found out.

After more than 2 years being away from the small screen, South Korean heartthrob Lee Dong Wook will be seen again in the small screen. His latest project is the MBC weekend series “The Sweet Life” or also known as “Bittersweet Life“. Dunno which one it is since I have seen articles wherein the drama series was named as both or either one of those two titles.

His character Joon-su will have a relationship with a married older woman, played by Oh Yeon Soo. Their characters meet on a trip to Japan. Meanwhile, he will also be entangled with a younger woman who happens to be involved with an older married man. Complicated Story! But it gets even better, you can read the synopsis <here>, just a click away! Warning though ~ it has a major spoiler.

In another article, Lee Dong Wook mentioned that the story is different from the other series out there with a similar plot. But the actor refused to divulge more info since he is afraid to give too much away (duh!). The only other explanation he gave is that his character supposedly has a “devil inside him”. Now, it might be a way of him telling us that Joon-su is the opposite of the handsome chaebol Gong Chan in the popular TV series that shot him to fame 2 years ago, “My Girl“.  LDW co-starred with the lovely Lee Da-Hae in that kdrama series. Ooohh I love love love Gong Chan!

Lee Dong Wook is not really lonely in the set of his new drama since he is accompanied by another “My Girl” alum ~~ sorry to dash your hopes but this drama is not a reunion of the loveable Dong Wook/ Da Hae pairing ~~ he is reunited with none other than Park Shi Yeon, as seen below. The conniving ex-girlfriend in the previous series.

I know, I know. For the “My Girl” fans out there ~ I feel the same way. ;(

I just hope it will not turn out as heavily melodramatic and cliched as Kwon Sang Woo’s “Bad Love”.

Lee Dong Wook and Park Shi Yeon will be co-starring with veteran actors Oh Yeon Soo and Jung Bo Seok in this MBC drama series.

Now ~ the biggest question was asked by our resident bad boy Chuck.

“Just what does Georgina have on you, Serena?”

That’s the question everyone wants to know. Definitely G is up to no good. But how far will she go? What’s her motivation? What is she up to?!

When will the questions be answered? After G wreaks havoc in S’ perfect little world?

Not soon enough for me.

Let’s wait for Episode 16: “All About My Brother”.

Well, Serena and Georgina finally met on this week’s episode. But more questions are left open than answered. Meanwhile, the power struggle between Blair and Lil’ J is still in full force. Blair is back to her old ways. Nate has found sparks in the least likely person. Lil’ J is still back to climbing the social ladder. Serena is preoccupied with her old and dearest frenemy.

For those who are looking to watch it online, here’s a clue ~ check out the popular streaming sites and be creative. It’s there waiting to be discovered.

This is my favorite song in the movie, August Rush, which coincidentally was sung by Jonathan Rhys Myers. Just want to share.

Here is a new poster from the movie, Wanted. It obviously stars Angelina Jolie. The other cast includes James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman and Terence Stamp.

Now, that’s a nice picture of the remaining 5 Idols, don’t you think?

Ok. So it’s Neil Diamond night this week. Not really familiar with his songs. But if you want to know more about him, you can read up in wikipedia or in his official site.

We are now down to five Idols: the two Davids - Archuleta and Cook, Jason, Syesha and Brooke.

Let me share to you what I think will happen. Now this is all just for fun so do not take me as an authority on this. Here goes:

• The next  bottom three will not include either of the Davids.
• If Syesha proves strong this week then it will be a toss between Jason and Brooke to be sent home.
• But my money is on Brooke - as the one to be eliminated this week.
• Jason and Syesha needs to pull off strong performances to be safe for another week.

There you go.

Let’s wait and see if I will get it right.  

Have any of you seen August Rush?

I just saw the movie without much expectation from it. Except that I will be seeing Jonathan Rhys Myers in it. I was drawn to the movie out of a fangirl admiration for the cute Jonathan Rhys Myers.

I’m glad I did though. Not solely because of Rhys Myers but because the movie is absolutely endearing and the music is absolutely beautiful.

In summary, the movie is a musical journey of a young orphan (Freddie Highmore) to find his parents. Amidst his search, at the same time it is also a search of a young couple in finding their heart’s greatest yearning and how these three characters are brought together by music.

I only just realized that one of the songs in this movie was performed at the recent Academy Awardsm which was won by one of my favorite songs “Falling Slowly” from the movie, Once, which I have yet to see. Anyway, the song that was nominated from this movie is the song “Raise It Up”. It’s a beautiful song about courage and not giving up.

Plus, Jonathan Rhys Myers’ character is a lead singer from a rock bank so he sang 3 of the songs in the film. He’s absolutely gorgeous and talented. I will look for a clip and will post it later on.
