Raikkonen, meanwhile, led from pole to flag, the eighth successive occasion that has occurred at this track to strengthen his lead at the top of the drivers’ standings.
While Ferrari team mate, Felipe Massa secured the second place from the pursuing McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton, who ended at third place. The Ferrari team is now leading the championship with 47 points. Meanwhile the second place team BMW Sauber is far behind with 35 points while third place team McLaren is a point away at 34 points.
