Iron Man in flight

I have seen Iron Man for the second time yesterday. Waited until after the credits like I said I will. My friends and I have to wait for several minutes for the credits to stop rolling, but it was alright.

The scene was just a hint on the upcoming sequel and the other Marvel Studios movie that will be released after the Iron Man sequel.

In the extra scene, Tony Stark just arrived home and Jarvis welcomed him but with the tone of his voice he doesnt sound like it’s usual self. Then a light twitches you’d know at this point that something is not alright in the Stark mansion. Stark then notices this dark figure across the room. Who could it be? Is it Obadiah Stone risen from the dead? (Btw, This question are mostly running from my head not Tony’s) Then the figure moves then shows himself. It is none other than the actor Samuel L. Jackson (he goes back to black hair as opposed to the white hair from his role in the disastrous movie, Jumper) and he introduces himself as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Then he mentioned The Avengers and how he would like if Stark would join them. Or something to that effect. Then it ends there.

If I saw this scene earlier then I would have been uber excited since it obviously lets us know that there will be a sequel. But since I read about the sequel first in the news, so I was only mildly amused. Nonetheless, I was pleased that I got to see Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark for several seconds more.

The scene serves as an introduction to the upcoming Marvel Studios movies, Iron Man 2 and The Avengers. Marvel Studios is set to release the Iron Man sequel on April 30, 2010, meanwhile the First Avenger movie with the working title The First Avenger: Captain America will be released on May 6, 2011. It will be followed by The Avengers in July of the same year.
