Half-Blood Prince’s New Photo

This is the new photo from the new Harry Potter movie, The Half-Blood Prince, that have been leaked to the press. The famous trio - Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley — is seen sitting and discussing the latest news on the Daily Prophet which shows the headline “More Disappearances at Ministry of Magic” which is a manifestation of Voldemort’s growing power in the wizarding world. And the trio might also be discussing what is written in the mysterious Half-Blood Prince’s Potions book.

HP movie 7 AND 8

Deathly Hallows Deluxe Art

It’s been announced and I read it here and here. The final Harry Potter film will be made into 2 full-length films which will be released 6 months apart, one in November 2010 and the next on May 2011 for the purpose of “not cutting out a huge portion of the book”.

I’m so excited in seeing Deathly Hallows in the big screen. This means that there will be more room for all the crucial scenes. Hopefully its the one that I like.

But I also think that this is another ploy by the studio and producers to squeeze more money from this franchise. After all this would be the final Harry Potter movie.

They better not mess it up. It must be nothing less than Excellent.

 

 

Half Blood Prince

I have been a Harry Potter fan for years now. I am one of those people that have been eagerly waiting for the next novel since I read book 1, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Now that book 7 has been released thus marking the end of the book series, I have then shifted my attention on the movies.

Like the novels, I have been on the lookout ever since it was announced that there will be HP movies. I have liked the movies but I have minor complaints with some key scenes being omitted. But understandably, one can’t fit everything from the novel to the movie screen without making some sacrifices. I have long accepted that fact but the latest installment, HP and the Order of the Phoenix was my least favorite of all the HP films. The reason is I found the movie at times draggy but there were scenes that they just breezed through. I figured the fault was on how the movie was edited. Since they had a good story to begin with, the pacing was just really off.

Since the next installment, Half Blood Prince will be from the same director as the Order of the Phoenix, David Yates. I am thus a little leery on how the film will turn out but I will reserve judgement when I get to see the end product. But I will still watch it despite my hesitation since I am a big fan of the new pairing which will be mentioned in the clip below.
