KT Tunstall

KT Tunstall

Kate “KT” Tunstall (born 23 June 1975) is a BRIT Award winning, Grammy-nominated Scottish singer and songwriter. She broke into the public eye with a performance of her song “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” on Later with Jools Holland. She has enjoyed commercial and critical success since, selling over four million albums and picking up three BRIT Awards and two Grammy nominations.

While her first name is Kate, she chose to go by KT as her first name, saying “[Kate] just makes me think of a buxom lass baking bread for her man working in the fields. I have no problem with that, but it’s just not really how I pictured being a rock star.” Also, Tunstall spells her first name KT (as opposed to Katie) to differentiate herself from singers with similar names. :P

To listen to her songs you can check her MySpace and her Official website: www.kttunstall.com  ;)
I also posted a video of her The Late Show with David Letterman performance for her song “Suddenly I See” on my vodpod or just click on the videos to share on the right column of my main page. And I also posted her latest video on an earlier post. Check it all out. :)

Here’s KT Tunstall’s new single “If Only“.  It’s one of my favorite tracks on her latest album, Drastic Fantastic.

I would like to share the music video and hope you’ll enjoy it! :D

Let’s go back a couple of Idol season ago and reminisce. Here’s a video of Katherine McPhee singing a KT Tunstall song Black Horse and the Cherry Tree during American Idol Season 5’s Finale.

KT Tunstall is one of my favorite artists out there. Just want to share one my favorite videos of her that can be found in youtube (please see my vodpod and its also on the right of the screen). This song, “Suddenly I See“, has been featured on the series premier of Ugly Betty (i saw the pilot), in the opening credits of the movie Devil Wears Prada and in the show Ghost Whisperer (accdg to wikipedia). The song is in her debut album, Eye to the Telescope. The clip was taken from one of the episodes of The Late Show with David Letterman (one of my fave shows) in May 2006. Its kinda old but I hope you enjoy it.
