I have been fascinated with Princess Diana eversince I have come to know of her existence. Which I’m sure millions of people in the world feel the same way in varying degrees. So naturally it came as a shock to everyone when news of her accident then subsequent death spread that fateful night in a tunnel in Paris. Then the world mourned at the shocking news. I even remember where I was and how I felt when I heard the news. Shock. Distress. Disbelief.

A verdict was given after the inquest to the cause of the late princess’ death. Which would hopefully serve as a closure to her sons, family and close friends after 10 years of speculation and conspiracy theories. Here’s an article:
Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed were unlawfully killed due to the “gross negligence” of driver Henri Paul and the paparazzi, an inquest has found.
The inquest jury also specified that Mr Paul’s drink-driving and a lack of seatbelts contributed to their deaths.
Princes William and Harry said they “agreed” with the verdicts and thanked the jury for the “thorough way” in which they considered the evidence.
Princes William and Harry have given their statement about the results of the inquest. I also find their interview with Matt Lauer last June 2007 quite endearing as they talked about their mother and life as royals.
