Stuffs

Cute Cat and Teddy

I know I have not posted in over a week. I’ve been very busy with work and life in general.

So I just want to share a few things today…

  • Last week was just terrible. I was such in bad shape since I only got to put in less than 5 hours of sleep for like 4 days. Urgh. The workload was bigger than normal but I should be happy that I was able to get through it. This week will be so much better.
  • For last week’s lack of sleep, I made up for it by sleeping close to 12 hours straight Friday night until Saturday morning. Whoa! I felt loads better after though.
  • There’s a new Starbucks place that opened a block from our office. It’s too close a temptation. I have been without coffee for so long. But of course, I crumbled. I bought a frapp on its opening day ~ a New Dark Mocha Frapp. It was really good.
  • Just got around to watching these two new series I got interested in. There is this local cable channel that is showing re-runs of this two series that I learned to like for different reasons. One is Chuck, because of its goof-ball spy/office story, and Dexter, for its darker undertones. I know I like Chuck right away because it reminded me of Alias’ earlier days but in a good way since it is not taking itself seriously. While Dexter is a little difficult to like because of the lead character’s sociopathic tendencies. Nevertheless, it is still interesting in its own dark way.
  • I’m still figuring out how to stream an mp3 on a post without making it available for download.  I so want you guys to listen to this song from Fiona Apple. I’ll get to it one of these days.
  • Hopefully, I can make another post sooner than a week. Until then. ;)

This is the beach

One of the islands supposedly used for a famous reality show. Just gorgeous!

Hopefully this beautiful place will not be as crowded and commercialized as Boracay. A big chunk of what makes it beautiful is that it is a pristine beach far far far away from the pollution of the city.

Keep it the way it is! Don’t ruin it like Boracay.

Not this beach

  • Just got back from my weekend trip. I’m tired, very tan and happy. It’s so much fun to just get away from it all.
  • There are tons of pictures, I might post some of it another time.
  • I want to try wakeboarding next time, looks so much fun than the beginners knee boarding or even water skiing.
  • It’s quite irritating when there are ignorant people who can’t clean up after themselves. We went to this island that had plastic trash everywhere. Such an eyesore on an otherwise gorgeous beach.
  • All of the shows that I’ve been following are over so I might post random stuffs from now on but I will keep an eye on Brangelina news for fellow fans out there. The latest is that they plan to purchase Chateau Miravala.
  • I’m listening to Kate Earl’s songs while writing this post. Hope you guys enjoyed the Kate Earl videos posted previously. ;)
  • So what else can I do since my fave shows latest season has ended. Reruns are always great but it will be a loooong wait for the new season.

Not Here

I will be taking a long overdue vacation for the weekend. Yey! :D

I won’t be bringing my laptop with me, thus, I left a few goodies to read, watch and listen for you guys while I’m gone. Hope you enjoy!

I will catch up on stuffs when I get back.

Catch y’all later! Have a great weekend! :)

Ocean

Well, it depends on which part of the world you are in. But better late than never, I usually say.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! :)

I don’t give much stock on horoscopes. I always treat it as a fun read when I come across it when I buy my favorite magazines. But I was quite amused when I came across this while I was reading the page for the Cate article below (click on the source to go to the page I’m talking about). Not sure if it is a random coincidence that it displayed the horoscope for my sign, or there is some techie cookie involved.

The message seems so random but at the same time appropriate. Here’s a snag of the horoscope I’m referring to:

It just amused me and thought to share it. :)

Heard the saying that “the only certain thing in life is change”?

Well, changes are there to help us grow. It is hard to accept at times. So to deal with it we either take baby steps toward accepting the change or just take a big whopping leap of faith.

Hmm.

I have known and accepted that as truth. Change is the one thing constant in life. Baby steps will make little impact but it will eventually get you there. Now, a whopping leap of faith will take loads of guts but it is not for everyone. Which would be better?

Let’s reflect on a beautiful scenery.

This was taken at a particularly great day in Hawaii a few years ago in a parking lot. For real. I cut the photo to remove the cars. Amazing huh?

IT’S APRIL FOOL’S DAY!!!

What are you up to?

HAPPY EASTER! :)

While growing up, I’ve always known that Easter Sunday is a religious event. The culmination of a week-long celebration. For a student, the best part was it’s a long weekend. :)

Church

But I’ve also learned that other cultures celebrate Easter Sunday differently. In the US, Easter Sunday meant Easter bunnies, egg-decorating, egg-hunting in the garden and egg-shaped chocolates. Of course, there’s more meaning to it. But that’s what I remember most about it when I spent a few Easter Sundays in the US.

How about you? How will you be spending Easter Sunday?
